Rocks Rock!– What’s the difference between a rock and a mineral?  What are the properties of minerals?  How does the rock cycle work?  Come find out in this hands-on program.  Learn all about rocks and minerals and how scientists classify them.

Our Precious Natural Resources – Come learn all about natural resources, both renewable and non-renewable. Participants will discover what resources are and why we need them, as well as discuss specific examples.  We’ll also discuss the importance of conserving our natural resources.

The Big Lizard:  the Amazing American Alligator  Alligators play an important role in Florida’s wetlands, serving both as an apex predator and a keystone species. In this program, we’ll explore these roles as well as their unique qualities and adaptations.

Backbone Bonanza!  (& Dip-netting Adventure)– Back by popular demand:  join us for a dip netting adventure in our pristine freshwater basin marsh. Our focus this year will be Vertebrates versus Invertebrates. We’ll compare and contrast the two groups, sample the marsh for both, and see who “wins” the backbone bonanza!
